Need to knows

  • Our experiences are for those feeling drawn to truly integrate breathwork into their life.

We are for those dedicated to personal excellence.

For those who believe it all starts with them.

For those willing to lead by example.

For those that prioritize showing up for their family and community. And have learned this begins with showing up for themselves.

You can say we are for the building, creating, and serving type… or differently said… the show up, make it happen, and get it done type. The driven and self reliant outliers!

Those who have heard about the beneficial affects of breathwork.. may it be the scientific, spiritual, or general health benefit. And they truly want to integrate a habit of breathwork with a community.

  • Our experiences are not recommended for people during pregnancy or times of critical care. If you are currently pregnant or recovering from a recent pregnancy, we recommend booking a private session that will be tailored to you.

Our breathwork sessions are not recommended for individuals with a personal history of epilepsy, seizures, or cardiovascular problems. Or recent injury and/or illness involving the brain, mouth, teeth, nose, throat, thyroid, immune system, lymphatic system, lungs, chest, ribs, spine, neck and/or reproductive organs. Ask your doctor or care provider before just “giving it a try”. Do not book a session without letting us know about your medical condition or situation. If we are aware.. we can make sure you are safe.

These experiences are also not suitable for individuals with a personal history of severe mental illness, personality disorders, hospitalization for any psychiatric condition or emotional crisis (especially suicidal attempts or psychosis) without first consulting a professional and receiving written clearance and approval from your healthcare provider in addition to getting approval from the niya team.

Finally, our experiences take the safety and wellbeing of our community serious. There is a zero tolerance for predators, stalkers, or any form of harmful/ill intent.

No victimhood mentality. No stalkers. No predators. No excuses.

  • It Is expected that you know how to:

    • View these experiences as a moment to choose a growth and expansive mindset

    • Show up on time

    • Be respectful

    • Be prepared

  • Do not make assumptions.

    Do not take anything personally.

Be honest, honorable, and respectful with your actions and words.

We do not give advice to others without asking first if they even want it.

We do not judge or compare. This is natural or apart of our human experience. We do not voice it.

We do not immediately center ourselves. A constant pattern of trauma dumping or vomiting life’s issues on the group (without asking for the space and groups consent) will result in a ban from returning to future experiences.

    What we do here:

Support and build each other up.

Understand that we do not know what the person next to us has gone through.. so when they have a potent emotional reaction.. we default to leaving them be in their moment. If we do begin offering support.. it begins with compassion and nothing more, if they do not want more.

We celebrate each other. Knowing we are all at different points in the journey.. we treat each other with respect, care, kindness, and encouragement.

  • If you are joining one of our outdoor experiences, be prepared, by bringing your own:

    • Water

    • Snack

    • Blanket or yoga mat

    • Journal and pen

    • Sunscreen or bug spray

    • Any personal medical / health supplies (insulin, inhaler, etc)

    It is sensible to wear:

    • Closed toe footwear

    • Pants and sleeved top (if you do not like the idea of your skin brushing up against mother nature)

You get the point. You are expected to be a prepared and self sufficient adult.

If you are joining a virtual session, have the following:

    • Water

    • Snack

    • Blanket/mat

    • Journal and pen

Each individual experience will have a description that specifies how that experience is uniquely different and what you will and will not need to bring.
